Then, on the willow, fill in the multiple leaf shapes cascading down and the hair-like roots ending in little clods of earth. Put a texture of small lines all over the trunk and visible branches.

On the straighter tree, mark in small leaves all over the twigs and branches and fill in the trunk with small lines to give it the look of bark. As in the willow, put small clods of earth at the ends of the smallest roots.

SHELLS AND SEA ANEMONES

Here are some shell and sea anemone shapes which are already decorative in their natural state. All you need to do is treat them simply as line drawings, using the striations on the surfaces for their patterns. My drawings are based on the amazing work of naturalist and artist Ernst Haeckel in his 1904 work Art Forms of Nature.
